Aufwachen! Good Morning
How do we notice our environment and just how much of it do we notice? Do we just walk around the world like sleepwalkers? To what extent do we recognise and challenge certain elements of our environment? Often we do not look in front of our own two feet . . .
With this theme in mind, we set ourselves apart and thought how others’ attention is drawn to something. Our answer: mostly just when they step on it. Or when something is placed directly in front of their eyes.
We marked areas that were contaminated (with materials such as chewing gum and cigarette butts) with warning signs. At some sites, the contamination was so concentrated
that there was a veritable forest of signs. We observed people and their reactions,
the results of which were cut into a short documentary.
